Present on the French jazz scene since 1994, David Salesse played alongside the great masters of jazz on many stages (Lee Konitz, Bergonzi, Marc Johnson, Kenny Werner …) and refined his instrumental technique with Gildas Boclé and Pierre Boussaguet.
Inspired by bassists who have marked the history of Jazz (Ray Brown, Paul Chambers, Sam Jones …), David Salesse strives to develope a solid bass line of great harmonic and rhythmic clarity.
Today, he continues to invest in the group of Ronald Baker while participating in projects honoring the « Legends of Jazz » (a tribute to Louis Armstrong, Gene Harris and Basie with Jean Pierre Derouard, Oscar Peterson with Philippe Duchemin Dinah Washington with China Moses and Raphael Lemonnier).
Présent sur la scène Jazz française depuis 1994, David Salesse s’est formé aux cotés des grands maitres du jazz lors de nombreux stages (Lee Konitz, Bergonzi, Marc Johnson, Kenny Werner…) et a peaufiné sa technique instrumentale auprès de Gildas Boclé et Pierre Boussaguet.
Inspiré par les contrebassistes qui ont marqués l’histoire du Jazz (Ray Brown, Paul Chambers, Sam Jones…), David Salesse s’évertue à développer une ligne de basse solide, d’une grande clarté harmonique et rythmique.
Aujourd’hui, il continue à s’investir dans le groupe de Ronald Baker tout en participant à des projets rendant hommage aux « légendes du Jazz » (hommage à Louis Armstrong, Gene Harris et Basie avec Jean Pierre Derouard, Oscar Peterson avec Philippe Duchemin, Dinah Washington avec China Moses et Raphael Lemonnier).
